The Sorrento Concerts Society and City of Sorrento (Tourism Department) presents “Sorrento Classica”, a concerts series in historic sities of Sorrento (museums, hotels, villas and private residences) where hight personalities of europeanm culture and aristocracy have lived or passed through, during the period of the so-called “Grand Tour”. Art director of concerts is Paolo Scibilia. Among the artists the “ Soloists of S. Carlo” ambassadors of Italian culture in the world, playing the special series “The Monday of the Soloists of S. Carlo”, with unusual music and “The Opera in the pocket”. Gaetano Milano, the alderman of Sorrento City Tourism Department, clarifys: “The spirit of the “ Sorrento Classic “is to spread the classical music genre and beyond included in a wide and varied repertoire with a formula readily available to everyone. “Opera Pocket” by “ The Soloists of St. Carlo “, propose lyric opera title not at theaters house, but in the small historical places of the “Grand Tour” in Sorrento and with reduced concert vertion, leaving intact the theatrical magic of liric opera. “Pills” of Opera title very well known to fans music lovers, but also not knowed from the younger generation and who doesn’t love the genre.
